Stream probe
Watch your public live stream like a viewer for up to 30 minutes: is it reachable, how fast does it start, what bitrate and quality ladder do viewers get, does it stall, and are there black screens, frozen video or silent audio. Each incident gets a timestamp and a snapshot.
Public URLs only (HLS .m3u8, DASH .mpd, RTMP playback, SRT caller). Private/LAN addresses and URLs with passwords are refused. Limits: 1–30 min, 1 active probe and 6 per day per user, 2 running at once. Results are kept 7 days at a private link.

Quality ladder
–
Bitrate (10-second samples)
What it measures
- Availability & startup: time from connect to the first decoded frame.
- Bitrate & ladder: received kbps every 10 s; HLS/DASH variants (resolution, bandwidth, codecs). The top variant is probed.
- Stalls: periods where playback cannot keep up in real time (rebuffering), plus HLS segment fetch time and delay behind live when the playlist has timestamps.
- Decode checks: black video (≥2 s), frozen video (≥5 s), silence (≥5 s below -50 dB), audio-only and low resolution (<480p). Incidents within 10 s are merged.
- One region (New York, residential connection) during beta. Your stream key is never needed: use the public playback URL.
